Joint Design and Development

The advantage of Popwil is not only the rich experience in the core technology and structure of the electro-hydraulic servo control field, the development of material testing equipment, but also the most important is the strong engineering and technical staff and excellent cooperation consciousness. These are all in new technologies. The fields of joint design and research and development of new test equipment have been fully reflected.

In order to study the settlement of the high-speed railway foundation, Academician Chen Yunmin and Professor Bian Xuecheng of the Institute of Geotechnical Engineering of Zhejiang University envisaged constructing a high-speed railway foundation model in a model slot in the laboratory, and using the loading device to simulate the actual operation of the high-speed railway. Members joined the research group. After 2 years of hard work, the device was completed in 2010, and moved to the Civil Engineering Test Center of Zhejiang University in 2015. It has completed a number of scientific research achievements and was named as one of the top 10 scientific and technological progress of Chinese universities in 2018.

This system has played an important role in the related scientific research activities of the research group on high railway foundation settlement of the Institute of Geotechnical Engineering, Zhejiang University.

The most important role of joint design and research and development is to continuously upgrade the technology of equipment that has been completed and put into use according to the progress of the subject and changes in research objectives. After the above equipment was used for 3 years, it was relocated from Zhejiang University Yuquan Campus to Zijingang Campus according to the needs of the project. At the same time, the loading frame and hydraulic system were changed, and a centralized data mining system was added.

The new design include a mounting frame for measuring instruments and an operator access. The photos show the reconstructed system after relocation.

The joint design and research and development not only increased the communication between the supply and demand sides for the use of the equipment, but also created conditions for the continuous improvement of the equipment, and played an important role in the research and technology of both sides.
